The Pedodontics Residency Program at Ajman University is a three-year postgraduate program designed to prepare dentists for clinical excellence and academic leadership in the field of Pedodontics. The program provides extensive clinical exposure to advanced techniques in pediatric dentistry, including behavior management, pulp therapy, preventive and interceptive orthodontics, treatment under general anesthesia or sedation, management of traumatic dental injuries, and comprehensive care for children with special healthcare needs, utilizing modern tools such as digital radiography and CBCT imaging.
Residents are trained to manage complex pediatric dental cases under expert supervision and to collaborate across specialties to provide comprehensive care for children. Emphasis is placed on developing clinical precision, behavior management skills, evidence-based practice, ethical standards, and research competency.

Admission Requirements
General Admission Criteria
• Bachelor’s degree in Dentistry from a university accredited by the UAE Ministry of Education.
• Minimum GPA of 2.7 on a 4.0 scale or equivalent.
• Successful interview with the program committee.
• One academic recommendation letter (Optional).
• (If degree earned in non-English institution): TOEFL 550 (PBT), 213 (CBT), or 79 (iBT); or IELTS 6.0.
Conditional Admission
• GPA between 2.0 and 2.7: Conditional admission may be granted with a requirement to achieve an average of 70/100 or above during Year 1.
• English Language Proficiency: May be conditionally admitted with the requirement to meet standards during Year 1.
Graduation Requirements
• Completion of all academic and clinical modules.
• Fulfillment of the minimum number of root canal cases and microsurgical procedures as specified by the program.
