About The Test

The TOEFL ITP®  tests is available in paper and pencil test

format. The tests used to evaluate the English-language proficiency of non-native English speakers. All questions are multiple choice, and the tests evaluate skills in 3 areas:

• Listening Comprehension measures the ability to understand spoken English as it is used in colleges and universities.
• Structure and Written Expression measures recognition of selected structural and grammatical points in standard written English.
• Reading Comprehension measures the ability to read and understand academic reading material written in English.

IELTS: Paper-based Test

The International English Language Testing System (IELTS) is designed to help you work, study or migrate to a country where English is the native language. Your ability to listen, read, write and speak in English will be assessed during the test. IELTS is graded on a scale of 1-9.  

IELTS is jointly owned by the British Council, IDP: IELTS Australia and Cambridge Assessment English.

Test format

There are two types of  IELTS:  Academic and General Training. All test takers take the same Listening and Speaking tests but different Reading and Writing tests. Make sure that you prepare for the correct test type.

IELTS Academic

The IELTS Academic test is suitable for those wanting to study in an English-speaking environment or university (higher education). You can also take IELTS Academic for professional registration purposes.

IELTS General Training

The IELTS General Training test is suitable for those applying to study below degree level. It can also be taken for work experience or other employment training.

IELTS official practice test

Know where you stand before you take your test with an official IELTS practice test. IELTS Progress Check is an official IELTS online marked practice test. The test will give you an indication of your band score and provide feedback on areas to improve. Book your official practice test today.

The Emirates Standardized Test (EmSAT) Definition – Achieve

A set of standardized electronic tests based on national standards for measuring and evaluating student performance in the UAE. It is an admission requirement for universities to assess students’ skills and knowledge in targeted subjects.
